Innocent Lehner

Innozenz Lehner (born October 20, 1917 in Wiler ; † June 5, 2000 in Brig ; resident in Wiler ) was a Swiss politician (CVP) .

Career

Innozenz Lehner was born on October 20, 1917 as the son of Johann and Angelina Lehner in Wiler. After attending grammar school in Brig, Lehner completed a law degree in Freiburg and Bern . Subsequently he worked as a lawyer and notary . He was married and died on June 5, 2000 at the age of 83 in Brig.

From 1953 to 1969 Lehner was a member of the Christian Democratic People's Party of Switzerland on the Valais Grand Council , in which he served as the first Lötschental council president between 1968 and 1969 . He was also a member of the National Council from 1967 to 1975 .

Lehner was primarily committed to the concerns of the Lötschen mountain area, such as the construction of access roads, a forest law, a development concept , the application of the Lex Furgler , a cantonal model and avalanche barriers . In addition, Lehner was President of the Talrat von Lötschen and President and Honorary President of the Upper Valais Transport Association. Lehner was considered a passionate politician, mountain guide and hunter .
