The unofficial European wrestling championships in 1904 today took place on January 24, 1904 in Amsterdam . The wrestlers were not divided into weight classes. The wrestling was done in the Greco-Roman style customary at the time . The Dutchman J. Ploeger won ahead of Joseph Plombe from Belgium, who had reached third place at the unofficial European championships in 1903 , and in front of his compatriot J. Koelink, who had come second at the unofficial European wrestling championships in 1902 .
