action

A group of American tourists booked a day trip to the paradise island of San Marie during their Caribbean vacation . The tour guide promises you a fun, romantic and mysterious adventure trip before you start and praises the mysterious, supernatural character of the island.

On arrival at San Marie, Mr. Jones, the tour guide's name, leads the group to a religious ceremony staged for the holidaymakers, during which certain voodoo rituals are practiced. Paul, a press photographer, holding it fascinates an animal sacrifice firmly with his camera that awakens one apparently lifeless form back to life. The performance is received controversially by the tourists, in addition to enthusiasm for the supposed show performance, the disgust outweighs others; For example, lovers avoid the performance but are secretly knocked down and killed by something while the performance is still in progress.

After the performance, the remaining guests follow their guide in the rough terrain back to the bus. In the meantime, however, night has fallen, the bus driver has disappeared without a trace and the bus smeared with an unknown symbol is unfit to drive. Jones, who tried to make a safe return trip, then went to a distant phone booth to bring the tourists to the hotel as planned, but found the lifeless body of the bus driver and two other corpses shortly before the broken phone booth. After a while, Steve follows the guide towards the phone booth, but returns disappointed to the waiting tourists. In addition to a broken phone booth, he brings them the bus driver's headgear. The group, which now also notices that the lovers are missing, becomes increasingly nervous and decides not to remain in the bus, but to make their way to an adjacent old house.

During their migration, Paul is attacked by a mysterious being, but is able to repel it and warn the group. Nevertheless, the group continues to be attacked and decimated by something unknown on their way to the “saving” house. The house itself does not offer the survivors sufficient protection, in addition to a cut telephone connection and various literature on the subject of cannibalism , the deserted property is soon attacked by a creature. The group manages to drive away the walking corpse with a pistol, a machete and the help of a self-made electric baton when suddenly an elderly gentleman, Elliot Whitney, appears with a rifle.

The stranger turns out to be a drug dealer who, out of greed for profit, has the group of Colombian killer squads, disguised as zombies , looking for a fugitive on behalf of various drug cartels. Connie, disguised as a painter, tries to buy $ 25 million worth of cocaine from Whitney , but is caught by Steve, who shoots Whitney; Meanwhile, Paul dies too. After Connie is fatally injured, Steve gives the drug money to a voodoo priest in exchange for Sandy, the tour guide and safe conduct.

At the end of the film, tour guide Jones invites a new group of tourists on a day trip to the said island.

Reviews

“Zombie Island Massacre 'isn't a real zombie flick, because it's actually more about voodoo rites, drugs and cannibalism. There's not too much blood to see, it's usually very dark, but if you like horror films in which idiots act silly and ultimately die in some form because of their stupidity, you are guaranteed to have fun with this low budget production. “Unfortunately, this is a very boring film, with neither the actors nor any camera games that would be at least halfway interesting. In fact, you can easily feel compelled to watch the film fast forward. "
