The Intercontinental GT Challenge is a motorsport series organized by the SRO Motorsports Group . It consists of long-distance races for GT3 vehicles .

format

The series is aimed at the manufacturers, who do not compete as factory teams, but collect points via local customer teams. In the first season in 2016 took Audi , Bentley , McLaren and Mercedes in part.

Some races are individual events, such as the Bathurst 12-hour race , or belong to a series such as the Spa-Francorchamps 24-hour race . There is a maximum of one race on each continent, for the 2020 season races will be held in Africa , Australia , Asia , Europe and North America . All vehicles are subject to a balance of performance from the SRO.

Mode & winner

A manufacturer can use up to four vehicles per event, but only the two best-placed vehicles receive points. Driver titles are awarded in the PRO and AM categories.
