Joaquín García Ordóñez (born December 13, 1919 in Duitama , Colombia , † December 29, 1995 ) was a Colombian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Santa Rosa de Osos .

Life

Joaquín García Ordóñez received on 8 November 1942, the Archbishop of Medellin , Joaquín Garcia Benitez CIM , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On July 28, 1969, Pope Paul VI appointed him . as titular bishop of Minturnae and coadjutor bishop of Santa Rosa de Osos. The coadjutor archbishop of Bogotá , Aníbal Muñoz Duque , donated him episcopal ordination on August 30 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Nueva Pamplona , Alfredo Rubio Diaz , and the Bishop of Cartago , José Gabriel Calderón Contreras . The inauguration took place on September 8, 1969.

On September 29, 1971 García Ordóñez succeeded the late Miguel Ángel Builes Gómez Bishop of Santa Rosa de Osos. On June 10, 1995, Pope John Paul II accepted Joaquín García Ordóñez's resignation.
