International Association for Group Psychotherapy and Group Processes
The International Association for Group Psychotherapy and Group Processes IAGP is a Swiss association based in Kreuzlingen , Canton Thurgau .
It was founded in Zurich in 1973 and recognized as a non-profit organization under Swiss law in 2003 . The aim of the association is to promote group psychotherapy and the organization of group processes - both in small, medium and large groups - in theory and practice, training, research and advice. The publications and congresses of the IAGP are intended to institutionalize networking and the exchange of experiences on a worldwide level and support the cooperation of global and multicultural societies. There are currently representatives from 24 countries in the IAGP.
Internally, the IAGP is divided into six sections, which also form the focus of international networking: family therapy , group analysis , psychodrama , organizational advice , transcultural work and the section for young group experts.
