history

The founding initiative came from Professor Alfredo Luciani , who founded the “Social Christian European Action” in Milan . The current name “International Association of Missionaries for a Politics in Love” has been the association's name since 1993; it was approved in 1994 by the then Bishop of Rieti Giuseppe Molinari under episcopal law . "Love", in this context , is understood as the Latin meaning of " caritas ", which in Christianity is understood as active neighborly love and charity . On September 27, 1996, the Pontifical Council for the Laity issued the Decree of Recognition of an International Association of Believers under Papal Law and included it in the official register .
