Stefan Banach Prize
The Stefan Banach Prize ( Polish nagroda in Stefana Banacha. ) Is one of the Mathematical Polish Society in honor of Stefan Banach conferred mathematics prize for Polish mathematicians. It has been awarded annually with occasional interruptions since 1946, the first year after the death of Stefan Banach.
In 2008, these experienced price (in cooperation with the Polish IT companies Ericpol Telecom ) with the International Stefan Banach Prize ( english The International Stefan Banach Prize for a Doctoral Dissertation in the Mathematical Sciences ) a supplement. It honors outstanding mathematical dissertations in the countries of Eastern Europe and is endowed with 25,000 PLN (as of 2017) .
