Irina Yuryevna Dolgowa

Irina Jurjewna Dolgowa ( Russian Ирина Юрьевна Долгова ; born September 26, 1995 in Bratsk ) is a Russian judoka . In 2018 she was European champion in super light weight, the weight class up to 48 kilograms.

Athletic career

Dolgowa won the 2009 School Spartakiad, and in 2010 she was U17 European Champion. In 2011 she won both the U17 European Championships and the U17 World Championships. The following year she won the U20 European Championships and took second place at the U23 European Championships. In 2013 she was European Junior Champion and U21 World Champion. In 2014 she was second again in the U23 European Championships.

Their first championship medal in the adult area won Dolgowa with under the 2015 European Games discharged in Baku European Championships . In the quarter-finals she defeated the Hungarian Éva Csernoviczki . After her semi-final defeat against the Belgian Charline Van Snick , she won the battle for a bronze medal against the Spaniard Julia Figueroa . With a victory over the French Melanie Clement she reached the battle for bronze, which she lost to the Mongolin Otgontsetseg Galbadrakh . In 2018 she defeated Melanie Clement in the semifinals of the European Championships in Tel Aviv, the final she won against Éva Csernoviczki.
