action

Maria Jürgen works as a laboratory assistant in Rudolf Stassen's factory. When her father, who works there as a foreman, dies, she swears revenge, as she blames the company management in general and Stassen in particular. In order to take away a family member from old Stassen, she chose Erwin Stassen, the junior manager, as a worthwhile destination. But he is anything but a classic capitalist and worker exploiter.

After a strike, he begins to be interested in the concerns of the employees and on top of that falls in love with Maria. Both marry, but Maria has not given up her plan of revenge. No sooner have she become his wife than she always gives him the cold shoulder when he asks for the fulfillment of marital duties. Only over time does the handsome Erwin manage to turn her hatred into love.
