Isa Müller (* 1974 as Isabella Carmen Müller in Stettfurt ) is a Swiss motorcyclist and print media processor. She holds the women's long-distance motorcycle world record.

Life

Isa Müller grew up as the youngest of her parents' 7 children on the Freudenberg farm in Stettfurt. She is the mother of a son. At the age of 18 she got her motorcycle license. She covers 20,000 - 30,000 km on her motorcycles every year . She owns a Yamaha Vmax , a Yamaha FZ1 , a Yamaha MT-10 and a BMW S 1000 R , among others .

On July 8, 2017, Isa Müller suffered a serious motorcycle accident with numerous fractures, including a fracture on both sides of the femur where she had to have an artificial hip joint inserted. After 4 months she was able to ride a motorcycle again for the first time.

World record

On February 7, 2018, Isa Müller was asked by the organizer of the Women's World Record 2018 whether she would like to compete against three international competitors for Switzerland. The aim was to circumnavigate the world on a motorcycle alone on the world record route set by Urs Pedreita in 2014. The “Women's World Record 2018” project is a long-distance motorcycle ride with an international flair. Four women from four nations (USA, Russia, Austria and Switzerland) started at the same time on May 6, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. CET in their own country and tried to beat the world records of Nick Sanders (1997/2005) and Urs Pedraita (2014). The whole thing was broadcast live and could be followed directly via a tracker, with up to 300,000 hits being counted.

As part of the motorcycle, scooter and tuning show Swiss Moto 2018 , two live shows with the singer Börni reported daily in an interview about the world record drive.

On May 6, 2018, Isa Müller started with a BMW S 1000 R on the Love Ride Switzerland at the same time as her opponents from Austria, Russia and the USA, with all four drivers starting in their respective nations.

The route of the Swiss driver was divided into three sections, whereby different checkpoints had to be approached, including all Ace cafes worldwide.

The target arrival took place on June 15, 2018 in Hochdorf after 41 days, whereby the waiting times for the ferry in (Vladivostok -> Donghae 6 days), the transport by plane (Seoul -> Anchorage 7 days) and (Orlando -> Bilbao 10 Days) were counted as a time stop.

Isa Mueller rounded the world alone by motorcycle in 17 days and 7 hours and put 23'120 km back on the bike, incl. Sleeping, eating, breaks, changing tires and servicing the motorcycle and thus holds the world record for the fastest circumnavigation of a woman with the motorcycle .

The award ceremony took place on July 7, 2018 as part of the open air "Rock am Gleis".

Isa Müller was invited to various national and international events to report on her trip around the world.

A double-page report about Isa Müller and her record drive appeared in the association magazine of the Swiss Auto and Motorcyclist Association .

A full-page article about Isa Müller was published in issue 2/2018 of the magazine motorrad BMW Spezial .

Isa Müller was included in the list of “Swiss Makers” in 2018 by annabelle magazine . A three-page report appears in the special edition.
