Isabella Proeller

Isabella Proeller (* 1973 ) is a business economist , administrative scientist and professor at the University of Potsdam . Her main research interests are strategic management in the public sector, management and management mechanisms in administration, performance management and international administrative reforms .

Career

Proeller graduated in business administration at the 1992-1996 University of St. Gallen and the Ecole Superieur de Commerce de Paris , which they with the Licentiate completed. She also received a law degree in St. Gallen . From 1998 to 2002 she did her doctorate at the University of St. Gallen with the dissertation "Outsourcing in sovereign administration: interdisciplinary development of a decision heuristic" for Dr. oec.

From 1994 to 1998 she worked as an audit assistant at the auditing company PricewaterhouseCoopers . From 1999 to 2000 she was a visiting scholar at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago . From 1998 to 2007 she was Senior Researcher for Public Management and Vice Director of the "Institute for Public Services and Tourism" at the University of St. Gallen. In 2007 she was appointed professor to the chair for public and nonprofit management at the University of Potsdam .

Memberships

Proeller is the spokeswoman for the board of the Potsdam Center for Politics and Management , a member of the executive committee of the "Institute for Systemic Management and Public Governance" at the University of St. Gallen and on the administrative board of the Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz . From 2012 to 2019 she was deputy spokeswoman for the DFG graduate school "Wicked Problems, Contested Administration".

Proeller was on the board of the International Research Society on Public Management and the European Group of Public Administration for many years .

She is co-editor of the journals der moderne sta , International Journal of Public Administration , International Journal of Public Sector Performance Management , International Public Management Review , Policy and Governance , Public Administration Review , and Verwaltung & Management .
