Isabelle "No Mercy" Mercier (born August 5, 1975 in Victoriaville , Québec ) is a professional Canadian poker player .
Career
Before Mercier started her poker career, she did her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Montréal , worked as a business law attorney for a year and then moved to Paris . When she was working as the manager of the poker room at the Aviation Club de France , she did her master's degree. During this time she was nominated twice for the European Poker Award for Best Employee.
Mercier made his name as she at the Master Classic of Poker in 2002 at a tournament variant No Limit Hold'em took second place for which it 53,499 dollars received. In 2004 she won the World Poker Tour Ladies' Night Tournament . Here she got her nickname "No Mercy" ( German No Mercy ) from Mike Sexton . In mid-March 2005, Mercier finished the main event of the European Poker Tour (EPT) in Monte-Carlo in tenth place. She also won three prizes at the 2005 World Series of Poker (WSOP) at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas . In February 2006, Mercier finished seventh at the final table of the EPT Main Event in Deauville . She reached a final table at the 2006 WSOP and won $ 175,000.
To date, she has won over $ 1.2 million in official live poker events.
Mercier was a representative of Team PokerStars until September 2009 and then switched to the BetClic poker team . She made a cameo as a poker player in the 2008 comedy film All In - All or Nothing .
