The Isfayramsoy ( Russian Исфайрамсай / Isfairamsai; on the upper reaches Tengizboy ) is a river in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan ( Central Asia ).
The Isfayramsoy rises in Kyrgyzstan on the north flank of the Alai Mountains . It flows in an east-northeast direction through the mountains. It forms the border between Batken in the west and Osh in the east. Later he turns north and finally reaches the lowlands of the Ferghana Valley near Ütsch-Korgon . There its water is used intensively for irrigation . The river continues its course to the northwest, crosses the border into Uzbekistan and flows through the city of Quvasoy . Then it flows east past the city of Fargʻona , before it releases part of its water to the southern Ferghana Canal east of Marg'ilon and flows into the Great Ferghana Canal south of Qoratepa .
The Isfayramsoy has a length of 122 km. It drains an area of 2220 km². The river is fed by the meltwater from the glaciers and the snowmelt . The mean discharge at Ütsch-Korgon is 21.1 m³ / s.
