Isgaard Marke (* 1972 in Husum ) is a classically trained German singer who combines classic and pop in her music. Her greatest hits include Ein Schöne Tag and Dream of You with the Schiller dance project , in which she sang the refrains.

Career

In 2003 she took part in the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest and took 7th place with Golden Key . Her album of the same name was a medium success in Germany and reached the top 10 in the Philippines. The album was released in over 15 countries and contained Dreams Will Never Die, a duet with Piero Mazzochetti . To Earth Song (Original by Michael Jackson ) and Dreams Will Never Die filmed videos (solo), one Dreams Will Never Die has occasionally aired on MTV.

Despite her international success, she lost her contract with Edel and a short time later signed a new one with Flat Earth Records, a small Hamburg record company, where she released Secret Gaarden .

In 2005 the benefit single One World was released together with Kind of Blue and David Serame (music for Ben's Sometimes ), 100 percent of which went to the aid organization Misereor in South Asia. In this regard, there were severe distribution problems and poor media acceptance (most radio stations considered the artists to be “not well known”). After a long period of experimentation, their third album, Wooden Houses , was released in October 2008 .

Isgaard has also been singing in the three-woman semi-classical project "La Tiara" since 2010. In 2012 the mostly German-language album Wir von Morgen was released.

In 2010 she appeared as a "featuring artist" on the album Stranger by the electronic duo Rainbow Serpent.

In 2011 she released the album CMI (Curfew meets Isgaard) - The Trip in cooperation with the London project “Curfew” , which, like the previous Isgaard albums, was produced and co-composed by her long-time musical companion Jens Lueck.

Since October 2010 she has been presenting the film / music show Island 63 ° -66 ° N with Isgaard together with nature filmmaker Stefan Erdmann , for which Isgaard's producer and co-musician Jens Lueck wrote the film music.

In October 2012, their fourth album Playing God was released with the single of the same name, for which a video clip was also shot. A second video release from the album was the title Walking Down the Line .

In April 2013 Isgaard started to work with Jens Lueck on their fifth album Naked , which was released on March 20, 2014. The first single from the album was called Bright Side and was also released as a video clip. The second single from this album was Overflow Part 2 on the market. A video was also made for this song. In 2015 she worked on Syrinx Call's album Wind in the Woods featuring Isgaard, which was the result of a collaboration between flautist Volker Kuinke and Isgaard's producer Jens Lueck.

She gives Garlstorf as the address in the imprint of her website .
