Further singles followed and appeared on their LP War in Peace . Several songs by Bob Dylan , Werner Scharfenberger , Pete Seeger and Udo Westgard followed.

After completing her music studies, she received training in the opera studio of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. From then on she called herself Isoldé Elchlepp again .

From 1973 she first played smaller roles at the Bavarian State Opera, including in Madama Butterfly and in 1975 in Rosenkavalier . This was followed by demanding roles in works by Joseph Haydn, WA Mozart, Carl Orff, Aribert Reimann, Richard Strauss, Giuseppe Verdi and Richard Wagner.

From 1975 to 1982 she played at the Bremen Theater . From 1982 to 1988 she was engaged at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden , 1985, 1986 and 1993 she sang at the Bayreuth Festival and was a member of the Staatstheater Hannover since 1988 .
