society

Jiménez began his career at his hometown club UANL Tigres , where he also received his first professional contract in the summer of 2007 . In the Liga MX , the highest Mexican division, he made his debut on July 26, 2008 in the home game against CF Pachuca , which ended goalless. The permanent jump into the first team, however, only succeeded him later. Until then he played frequently in the reserve team in the second division between 2007 and 2009 .

Since the beginning of 2010, Jiménez has been an integral part of the first team and won the championship three times with the Tigres and the cup competition in the 2014 Clausura . The greatest success on an international level was reaching the finals for the Copa Libertadores , in which the Tigres were defeated in 2015 by the Argentinian record champions CA River Plate (0-0 and 0-3).

Otherwise, Jiménez only played in Apertura 2014 for a half-season on loan for Club Tijuana , for which he completed 15 league appearances and scored two goals.

National team

Jimenez won the U-23 national team , the Olympic football tournament in 2012 , which until then no Mexican Olympic team had succeeded.

He made his debut for the senior team in a friendly against Venezuela on January 25, 2012 , which was won 3-1. Jiménez made his tenth and so far last international appearance on February 10, 2016 in a friendly against Senegal , which was won 2-0.
