Issa Ba (born November 7, 1981 in Dakar ) is a Senegalese football player . He has been playing for al-Shabab in Kuwait since January 2016 .
Career
society
Bas began his professional career at the age of 19 with the French second division club Stade Laval . In the second season he developed into a regular player and quickly became a key player in the Stade Laval squad. In the four years he played 87 games for Stade Laval in Ligue 2 and scored eleven goals.
In 2004 he then moved to league competitor LB Châteauroux . Here he made his first experiences in international business. He played two games in the UEFA Cup , today's Europa League , and did not score a goal. In Ligue 2 he played 58 games for LB Châteauroux and scored twelve times in the opposing goal in the two years.
After his performance, it was only a matter of time before the first division knocked on the door. AJ Auxerre signed Ba in 2006. In his first season, Issa Ba was one of the few newcomers who made the immediate jump into the starting eleven. In his first season at Auxerre, he played 20 games but never scored a goal. He also played here internationally. Overall, he played five times in the jersey of AJ Auxerre at international level, but did not score here either. In the years that followed, it was used less and less. The 2007/08 season brought Ba three missions and in the 2008/09 season he was only allowed to play once in the league and once in the cup.
During the winter break of the 2009/10 season Issa Ba moved from Aj Auxerre to Poland to Wisla Krakow, where he only spent six months, played ten games and then moved to Romania to FCM Târgu Mureş . With his new club, he managed to stay up in the 2010/11 season. In the winter break of 2011/12 he joined league rivals Gaz Metan Mediaș . Half a year later he moved to Dinamo Bucharest . In February 2013, his contract with Dinamo was terminated. He was then without commitment for a year before ASC Diaraf brought him to his home country.
In January 2016 he moved to al-Shabab in Kuwait.
National team
As part of the Africa Cup of Nations in 2006 , he played five games for his home country Senegal, in which he scored one goal. In total, Ba was used in eleven competitive games for the Senegalese national team between 2004 and 2006 .
