Issam Chernoubi (born December 17, 1987 ) is a Moroccan Taekwondoin . It starts in the weight class up to 80 kilograms.

Chernoubi fought his first international title fights at the 2009 World Championships in Copenhagen , where he was eliminated early in the class up to 74 kilograms. The breakthrough in the international top came in 2011. At the 2011 World Cup in Gyeongju , he moved into the semifinals in the class up to 80 kilograms and won the bronze medal after a defeat against Yunus Sarı . He also won his first title at the Pan-Arab Games in Doha . He also reached the semi-finals at the Universiade in Shenzhen and won bronze. At the beginning of 2012, Chernoubi won the African Olympic qualification tournament in Cairo in the class up to 80 kilograms in the final against Abdelrahman Ahmed and secured his participation in the 2012 Olympic Games in London .
