Is satiety properly nourished? is a documentary film of the DEFA studios for popular science films of Ulrich Kluck from the year 1966 .

action

At the beginning of the film, the recordings show various devices and machines, all of which require a well-measured supply of energy for problem-free operation. The energy that humans need for life comes from food. Heavy physical work consumes more energy, lighter work less energy. However, it would be too easy to define the energy requirement only through hunger, because that is only true if the meals are composed correctly. A large proportion of people eat the wrong diet because they prefer foods that are too sweet or too fatty. Although physical work is being reduced more and more as a result of increasing technology, people eat far too large portions, which is why they also increase. More and more often, doctors have to treat obesity and its consequences.

The bad thing is that every kilogram too much puts more strain on the heart and blood circulation . In 95 percent of all cases, the wrong diet is the reason for being overweight . Several tests with one person of normal weight and one with overweight show that the performance of the fatter person is much weaker. The damage to health is even more serious, because almost half of social security expenditure in the GDR has to be spent on ailments that arise directly or indirectly from poor nutrition.

Eat sensibly, regularly and without haste, that's what counts.

production
