Ivan Heimschild (born March 5, 1980 in Martin ) is a former Slovak ski racer .

Career

Heimschild contested his first FIS race in December 1995. By March 2008 he took part in almost 300 of these races and celebrated 16 victories. The Slovak first started in the European Cup on February 23, 1997. One day later he achieved his best result in the Krompachy slalom with 28th place. From March 2000 to December 2006 Heimschild took part in a total of 26 races in the World Cup, but never reached the points. His best result was 41st place in the Super-G in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on February 1, 2004.

Heimschild took part in 4 world championships from 2001 to 2007 in a total of 16 races and achieved 20th place in the slalom of Åre 2007 as the best result. In his two Olympic participations in 2002 in Salt Lake City and 2006 in Turin , his best result was a 24 Rank in the combination of Salt Lake City. From 1999 to 2007 Heimschild won six Slovak championship titles.
