Ivan Malré

Ivan Malré , actually Ivan Malesevic , (born November 9, 1922 in Kikinda , Kingdom of Yugoslavia , † March 22, 1974 in Leipzig ) was a Yugoslav-German actor and voice actor .

Life

Ivan Malesevic came to what was then the German Empire with his family as a child and discovered his passion for acting at an early age. From 1939 to 1941 he took acting lessons in Prague, followed by engagements at the stages in Brüx and Marienbad. He was later drafted as a soldier for military service in the Wehrmacht and taken prisoner as the war continued.

In 1949 he began to turn to drama again with stops at theaters in Neuruppin, Senftenberg, Zeitz, Altenburg and Leipzig. Parallel to his work as a stage actor, he was also discovered for film and television in the GDR and was often cast in roles as a villain and villain. He mainly played larger roles in DEFA films , such as in Richard Groschopp's crime thriller Ware for Catalonia (1959) or acquittal for lack of evidence (1962).
