Ivan Oliveira Cannabrava

Ivan Oliveira Cannabrava (born May 23, 1941 in Araguari ) is a former Brazilian diplomat .

Life

Ivan Oliveira Cannabrava is the son of the son of Yonne de Olveira and Elpidio Vianna Cannabrava. On March 18, 1963, he passed the Curso Preparatório à Carreira Diplomática (CPCD) of the Rio Branco Institute .

On February 5, 1965, he was appointed third-class legation secretary and on April 3, 1965, he was appointed assistant to the Confederations Department.

After Cannabrava was transferred to Bonn on July 2, 1967, as Secretary of the Legation , he was promoted to Secretary of the Second Class, effective December 31, 1967. On March 5, 1970, he was transferred to Asunción , where he was promoted to first-class legation secretary with effect from January 1, 1973.

This was followed on July 7, 1979, Cannabravas transfer to Washington, DC , where he was promoted to the Legation Council effective June 16, 1982. In this capacity he was transferred to Ankara on January 5, 1983 , where he remained until January 10, 1989. He then received the appointment as ambassador, first until May 4, 1991 in Luanda , then until July 3, 1995 in Tel Aviv , from May 8, 2001 to June 28, 2005 in Tokyo , from August 17, 2005 to 18. June 2008 in Mexico City and Belmopan and finally from June 18, 2008 to January 19, 2012 in Brussels .
