Ivan Vrba

Ivan Vrba (born June 15, 1977 in Gottwaldov ) is a former Czech track cyclist .

In 2002, Ivan Vrba took third place in the team sprint at the UEC European Rail Championships in Büttgen , together with Pavel Buráň and Arnošt Drcmánek . At the European Championships in Moscow the following year he was runner-up in the European Omnium . At the UCI Track World Championships in Melbourne in 2004 , he won the bronze medal in the Keirin . In 2005 he came third in the team sprint with Alois Kaňkovský and Adam Ptáčník , as well as national champion in the sprint and third in the team pursuit .

Vrba started twice at the Olympic Games: in 2000 in Sydney he was eleventh in the team sprint with Buran and Martin Polák , and in 2004 in Athens he was tenth in the keirin. In 2005 he ended his cycling career.
