Adam Ptáčník (born December 4, 1985 in Pardubice , Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech track cyclist .

In 2003 Adam Ptáčník was third in the European Junior Championship in the team sprint , together with Filip Ditzel and Jiří Hochmann , and in 2005 again in the U23 class, this time with Ivan Vrba and Alois Kaňkovský . He was also third in the Keirin . At the national track championships he started in the elite and became Czech runner-up in the 1000 meter time trial and third in the sprint . In 2008 he became national champion in team sprint with Denis Špička and Tomáš Bábek .

At the UEC European Rail Championships 2010 in Pruszków (Poland), Ptáčník won the bronze medal in Keirin. In 2011 he again won the Czech championship title in the team sprint (with Filip Ditzel and Denis Špička), finished second in the sprint and third in the keirin.

In 2008 Adam Ptáčník started at the Olympic Games in Beijing ; in the sprint he finished 19th and in the team sprint (with Špička and Bábek) eleventh. In 2016 he was nominated for participation in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where he was not used as a substitute driver. He then ended his cycling career.
