Pavel Kelemen (born May 28, 1991 in Domažlice ) is a Czech track cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2011, Pavel Kelemen was the Czech runner-up in the team sprint , together with Denis Špička and Martin Feiferlik . In the same year he finished eighth in the team sprint at the European Rail Championships in Apeldoorn, together with Špička and Filip Ditzel . In 2012 Kelemen was nominated by his association for the Olympic Games in London for the sprint competition and came in tenth. The following year he was two-time European champion (U23) in sprint and keirin and vice-European champion in team sprint, together with Robin Wagner and Jacub Vyvoda .

In 2015 Kelemen became European champion in Keirin. At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , he was 17th in the sprint and 21st in the keirin. In 2018 he was two-time Czech champion in sprint and keirin, and the following year he was again national champion in sprint.

In spring 2020, Pavel Kelemen left his previous club Dukla Brno and switched to Dukla Prague in order to focus on endurance disciplines in the future, especially the Omnium .
