Denis Špička (born August 29, 1988 in Česká Třebová ) is a former Czech track cyclist .
Athletic career
In 2005 and 2006 Denis Špička was third in the Keirin at the European Track Championships (Juniors), in 2008 he was third in the U23 European Championship. In the same year he won the first national title, in the team sprint , together with Adam Ptáčník and Tomáš Bábek and second in the 1000-meter time trial . In 2011 he became three-time Czech champion, in keirin, sprint and team sprint (with Ptáčník and Filip Ditzel ).
Špička started twice at the Olympic Games : in 2008 he competed in keirin (eliminated in the first round) and team sprint (eleventh place with Bábek and Ptáčník), in 2012 in London he was also eliminated in keirin in the first round. He then ended his cycling career.
