Ivanić-Grad is a town on the Lonja River in the northern part of Croatia , which belongs to the Zagreb County . According to the 2011 census, Ivanić Grad counted 14,548 inhabitants.

The town of Ivanić Grad is located on the Lonja River in Moslavina , at an altitude of 103 m above sea level, in the immediate vicinity of Zagreb . The north-south extension of the municipality is about 25.5 km and the west-east extension about 12 km, in the north of the city even up to 21 km. The total area is 173.57 km² (17,357 ha).

The area around Ivanić consists of 22 places: Caginec, Deanovec, Derežani, Donji Šarampov, Graberje Ivanićko, Greda Breška, Ivanić Grad, Jalševec Breški, Lepšić, Lijevi Dubrovčak, Opatinec, Posavski Bregi, Prečno, Prerovecje, Prkos , Trebovec, Šemovec Breški, Šumečani, Zaklepica i Zelina Breška.

Ivanić-Grad is located on the 3 motorway ( Zagreb - Lipovac and on to Belgrade ). The junction of the same name is located about 3 km south of the city center. The national road D 43 leads from Ivanić-Grad in a north-easterly direction to Bjelovar, 46 km away. The city also has a train station on the important transit route Zagreb - Slavonski Brod - Belgrade.
