Ivo Mahlknecht (born May 21, 1939 in Ortisei in Val Gardena ; † March 30, 2020 in Brixen ) was an Italian ski racer . The South Tyrolean was a nine-time Italian champion and was a member of the Italian national ski team in the 1960s.

In 1966 Mahlknecht finished sixth in the combined ranking at the World Ski Championships in Portillo . Two years later he went to the Olympic downhill from Grenoble also to sixth place.

In the Ski World Cup , which was introduced at the end of his career , Mahlknecht was able to place five times in the top ten. He achieved his best results, two fifth places, on the downhill runs from Wengen and Megève in January 1967. Before the introduction of the World Cup, he had, among other things, achieved three podiums at the 3-tre races in Madonna di Campiglio in 1966 .

Mahlknecht was able to win a total of nine Italian championship titles in his career :
