Ivan Alexeyevich Akulov ( Russian Иван Алексеевич Акулов ; born April 12 . Jul / 24. April  1888 greg. In Saint Petersburg , †  the thirtieth October 1937 ) was a Soviet party and state functionaries and trade unionists.

Life

Akulov, the son of a small trader, attended the St. Petersburg Trade and Industry School. He joined the Social Democratic Workers' Party of Russia (RSDLP) in 1907 . Akulow worked as an employee of the "trade and industry newspaper " ( Russian Торгово-промышленная газета ) in Saint Petersburg. In 1913 he became a member of the Executive Commission of the St. Petersburg Committee of the RSDLP. Akulov was arrested and exiled several times.

In 1917 he was a member of the party's military committee in Vyborg . Akulov was a delegate of the VII All-Russian Conference in April 1917 and the VI. Party congress of the RSDLP (Bolsheviks) in July / August 1917. He took an active part in the October Revolution in Petrograd and the civil war that followed. In December 1917 and January 1918 Akulov was secretary of the Yekaterinburg Committee of the RSDLP (B), from January to May 1918 secretary of the Ural Oblast Committee of the RSDLP (B) and the Communist Party of Russia (KPR). From May to August 1918 he was a commissioner responsible for replenishment and supplies on the Chelyabinsk and Slatouster fronts. From October to December 1918 he was chairman of the Vyatka governorate committee and from November 1918 to January 1919 as chairman of the executive committee of the governorate soviet there. From February 1919 to August 1920 he was chairman of the Orenburg governorate committee of the KPR. From August 1920 to January 1921 he was the responsible secretary of the KPR Kyrgyz Oblast Office, then Secretary of the Crimean Revolutionary Committee and from March to November 1921 of the KPR Oblast Office there.

From 1922 Akulow initially carried out mainly union functions: From 1922 to 1925 Akulow was chairman of the Miners 'Union in Donetsk and then from 1925 to 1927 chairman of the All-Ukrainian Miners' Union. From 1927 to 1929 he was chairman of the All-Ukrainian Council of Trade Unions. In 1929 Akulov was then secretary and member of the Presidium of the All Union Central Council of Trade Unions (WZSPS).

From May 1924 to December 1925 Akulov was a member of the Central Party Control Commission of the Communist Party of Ukraine (KPU). From December 1925 to June 1930 he was a member of the Central Committee of the KPU, from November 1927 to March 1928 also a member of the organizational office of the Central Committee and from March 1928 to November 1929 a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the KPU.

From July 1930 to January 1934 Akulow was a member of the Central Control Commission (ZKK) of the CPSU, from July 1930 to October 1931 also of the Presidium of the ZKK. From July 1930 to July 1931 he served as the Deputy People's Commissar of the Workers 'and Peasants' Inspection of the USSR. From July 1930 to October 1932 Akulow was also a member of the organizational office of the Central Committee of the CPSU .

From September 1932 to September 1933 he served as First Secretary of the Donetsk Oblast Committee of the KPU. From October 1932 to January 1934 he was again a member of the Central Committee of the KPU, from October 1932 to November 1933 also a member of the Politburo and the Orgbüro of the Central Committee of the KPU. From October 1932 to November 1933 he was also secretary of the Central Committee of the KPU for the Donbass .

From June 1933 to March 1935, Akulov served as the public prosecutor of the USSR. From February 10, 1934 until his arrest on July 23, 1937, Akulov was a member of the Party Control Commission (PKK) at the Central Committee of the CPSU and a member of the office of the PKK. From March 1935 to July 1937 he was also secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the USSR.

On October 29, 1937, Akulov was sentenced to death by the Military College of the Supreme Court of the USSR and shot the next day.

On December 18, 1954, he was rehabilitated by the Military College of the Supreme Court of the USSR and on May 27, 1955 by the Party Control Commission of the CPSU Central Committee .
