Ivan Taranow [ ivaˈn tɐˈranɐv ], also Ivan Taranov ( Russian Ива́н Тара́нов ; born October 30, 1994 in Tolyatti ) is a Russian automobile racing driver . He started in the GP3 series in 2014 .

Career

Taranow began his motorsport career in karting in 2010 . In 2011 he switched to the single-seater racing and entered the British Formula Renault the BARC on. For the Daytona team he was 14th in the classification. In the subsequent winter series he reached seventh place for Antel Motorsport . In 2012 Taranow stayed in the BARC Formula Renault, which was the only British Formula Renault championship from this season. For Antel Motorsport, he improved to tenth place. He finished eighth for Core Motorsport in the winter series . In addition, he competed for Green Goblin by Facondini Racing in a race of the Italian Formula Renault. In 2013 Taranow competed in some BARC Formula Renault races for Scorpio Motorsport . He won two races and was twelfth in the championship. In addition, he competed in four Alpine Formula Renault races for Tech 1 Racing .

In 2014 Taranow moved to Hilmer Motorsport in the GP3 series . After the first race weekend, he lost his cockpit and did not complete any other races during the year.
