Izabelin C is a place in the Powiat Warszawski Zachodni of the Masovian Voivodeship in Poland . It is the seat of the rural community of the same name with around 10,600 inhabitants.
geography
The place is about 16 km northwest of Warsaw on the south-eastern edge of the Kampinos National Park , to which parts of the municipality belong. - The national park and the biosphere reserve are based in Izabelin C.
history
Izabelin was created in the early 20th century. As one of the first settlements, Izabelin received the status of a settlement in the area of the Kampinos National Park. In 1937 a school was set up in the settlement. In 1952 the parish was established.
Allegedly, the name Izabelin derives from Izabela Zielińska, the owner of the forests.
The municipality of Izabelin was formed on December 30, 1994, until then Izabelin C was part of the municipality of Stare Babice . Until December 1998 the municipality belonged to the Warsaw Voivodeship .
Izabelin B
The forest settlement about one kilometer to the southeast was named Izabelin B. The place has 1034 inhabitants (as of October 3, 2019) and an area of 150 hectares .
