The Gmina Izabelin is a rural community in the Powiat Warszawski Zachodni in the Masovian Voivodeship in Poland . Your seat is the place Izabelin C with about 2700 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality borders the city of Warsaw to the east, the city center of which is 15 kilometers away. The other neighboring municipalities are Czosnów in the north, Łomianki in the northeast, Stare Babice in the south and Leszno in the west.
The wooded north of the municipality is part of the Kampinos National Park (Kampinoski Park Narodowy) and the Puszcza Kampinoska Biosphere Reserve . The Vistula runs two to four kilometers north.
The community has an area of 65 km², eight percent of which is used for agriculture. Forest makes up 91 percent of the area. In 2005 there were 99 farms in the municipality of Izabelin, cultivating an average of 1.99 hectares of land and 1.14 hectares of forest.
history
The municipality of Izabelin was formed in January 1995 from the northern part of the rural municipality of Stare Babice. Until 1998 it was part of the Warsaw Voivodeship , which in 1999 became part of the Masovian Voivodeship.
Community partnerships
The municipality concluded partnership agreements with the municipality of Dołni Cziflik on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, in June 2001 with the city of Borken in Hesse, in June 2009 with the municipality of Méru in northern France and with the town and district of Mickūnai in the Lithuanian district of Vilnius .

The Special Education Center for Blind Children Specjalny Ośrodek Szkolno-Wychowawczy dla Dzieci Niewidomych im. Róży Czackiej was founded in 1921. It looks after around 300 children.

The provincial road DW898 connects the east of the municipality with the capital Warsaw. Warszawa Gdańska is the nearest train station and Warsaw Frédéric Chopin Airport is the nearest international airport.
