The Izaute is a river in France that runs in the Gers department in the Occitanie region . It rises near the hamlet of the same name, L'Izaute , in the municipality of Dému , generally drains in a northerly direction through a sparsely populated area and flows into the Gélise as a right tributary after 37 kilometers at Torrebren , in the municipality of Labarrère . At its confluence, the Izaute meets the neighboring department of Lot-et-Garonne in the Aquitaine region .
