Ján Greguš (born January 29, 1991 in Nitra ) is a Slovak football player . He is under contract with Minnesota United and plays for the Slovak national team .

Career

He made his first game for FC Nitra in the Fortuna league on May 16, 2009 in the 70th minute of play against FC VSS Košice . The game could be won 4-0. After four league games, he left the club and went to Baník Ostrava in July 2009 . For the 2013 calendar year he was loaned to the Bolton Wanderers , but only played in the U-21 team. After the loan he played again for Baník Ostrava.

From January 1, 2015 until summer 2016, he played for FK Jablonec and then moved to the Danish first division club FC Copenhagen . Here he immediately won the championship and cup double in his first season. During the 2018/19 winter break, he was signed by Minnesota United in the USA .

National team

Gregus played in various Slovak junior national teams. He made his debut for the Slovak national team on March 31, 2015 in the game against the Czech Republic .

At the European Football Championship in France in 2016 , he was included in the Slovak squad. He was not used in the group games, but like all field players in the squad he still got his chance when he was substituted on in the second round against Germany when the score was 2-0 at halftime. The game ended 0-3 and the team was eliminated.
