Jéssica Carolina Alves dos Reis (born March 17, 1993 ) is a Brazilian long jumper and sprinter .

Athletic career

Jéssica dos Reis gained her first international experience at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Singapore . There she reached sixth place over 100 meters in the final. At the South American Youth Championships in Santiago de Chile , she won gold medals in the long jump with 6.01 m and with the Brazilian sprint relay (1000 meters) and silver over 100 meters. At the Pan American Junior Games 2011 in Miramar , she won the gold medal with 6.39 m. Then she also won the Junior South American Championships in MedellínGold in the long jump and with the Brazilian 4 x 100 meter relay. She also came third over 100 meters. In 2012 she qualified for the Junior World Championships in Barcelona , where she reached sixth place in the long jump with a width of 6.51 m and won the bronze medal with the Brazilian relay. She won the South American U23 championships with 6.18 m.

In 2013 dos Reis took part in the South American Championships in Cartagena and won the bronze medal there with a wind-assisted 6.49 m. A year later she won the silver medal behind her compatriot Keila Costa at the South American Games in Santiago with 6.32 m . At the U23 South American Championships in Montevideo , she also won the silver medal with 6.35 m. In 2016 she took part in the Ibero-American Championships in Rio de Janeiro , where she won the bronze medal with 6.31 m. In 2017 she missed a medal at the South American Championships in Luque with 6.43 in fourth. At the South American Games in Cochabamba the following year , she also reached fourth place with a jump of 6.56 m.
