Józef Jan Huczek (born March 16, 1936 in Bielsko-Biała , † January 3, 1972 in Szczyrk ) was a Polish ski jumper .

Career

Huczek, who started for the Legia Zakopane club , made his international debut at the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo . He reached the 30th place in jumping on the normal hill, tied with Otto Leodolter and Koba Zakadse . In December Huczek started the Four Hills Tournament 1956/57 and achieved the best individual result of his career with 13th place on the Schattenbergschanze in Oberstdorf in his first competition. Since he could not repeat this good result in the other jumping competitions, he only achieved 46th place in the overall tournament ranking. Even a year later, he did not make it to the top of the world. After only jumping two competitions, he reached rank 45 in the overall ranking.
