Jörg Aldinger

Jörg Aldinger (born January 17, 1955 in Stuttgart ) is a German architect .

Life

1975 to 1980 studied Jörg Aldinger at the University of Stuttgart and the Technion in Haifa architecture . After graduating, he worked from 1981 to 1983 at the Stuttgart architects Kammerer + Belz (Walter Belz and Hans Kammerer). Since 1983 he has been a freelance architect member of the Chamber of Architects of Baden-Wuerttemberg and founded in the same year, the architectural firm Aldinger & Aldinger - as a continuation of the traditional office of Wilhelm and Walter Aldinger that has existed since the 1911th

In 1984 Jörg Aldinger was appointed to the Association of German Architects (BDA) and began his work as a specialist judge . Since 1994 he has been teaching as professor for energy-optimized building and design at the Biberach University of Applied Sciences . Jörg Aldinger spent 1999 and 2000 in the United States as a visiting professor at California State Polytechnic University in Los Angeles . From 2004 to 2008 he was Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Building Air Conditioning at Biberach University.

Jörg Aldinger is a member of the design advisory board of the cities of Karlsruhe and Constance .

With the Stuttgart architects Dirk Herker and Thomas Strähle, the law firm Aldinger Architekten Planungsgesellschaft mbH has been in existence since 2005 and currently has around 20 employees. The office regularly takes part in international architecture competitions and prepares feasibility studies as a basis for strategic decisions on topics in architecture and urban planning. Experience in the implementation of different standards of green building as well as with planning and procedures for DGNB and LEED certifications complement the competence area of ​​the office.

Jörg Aldinger lives with his family in Stuttgart.

Awards

The work of the office is repeatedly recognized with prizes, such as the exemplary building award procedure for the Balingen vocational school center, the Hugo Häring Prize (for example for the NW District Medical Association, Stuttgart) or the Good Buildings award (for example for the Ludwig Uhland Realschule, Tuttlingen and the Hospiz St. Martin, Stuttgart).
