Jörg Bear
Jörg Bär (born July 17, 1956 in Rammenau ) is a former soccer player and soccer coach in Saxony . For progress in Bischofswerda , he completed 48 games in the GDR Oberliga , the top division of the GDR football association .
Soccer career
From the children's team to the GDR league
At the age of seven, Bär began to play organized football in the sports community in his East Saxon hometown of Rammenau. In 1969 he joined the company sports community (BSG) progress in the district town of Bischofswerda , which one year later delegated him to the football focus of the Dresden district , the SG Dynamo Dresden . There he went through the compulsory youth teams until he was 18, but was delegated back to Bischofswerda in 1975. At this time the BSG was playing progress in the third-rate district league , but won the district championship with the 19-year-old Bear at the end of the 1975/76 season and thus qualified for the GDR league . In his first GDR league season in 1976/77, the 1.83 m tall bear was part of the regular team with 20 appearances and four goals in 22 matches played. Nothing changed until 1980, Bär remained a constant in the midfield of the Progress team.
In May 1980, Bär was drafted into military service. He was assigned to the army sports community Vorwärts Kamenz and could continue to play football in the GDR league. In November 1981 he was discharged from the army and returned to Progress Bischofswerda.
From the GDR League to the Oberliga
In Bischofswerda he was immediately taken back to the starting eleven and determined to be the team captain for the 1982/83 season. For the next several years he played in the role of an attacking midfielder, scoring goals every season. He was most accurate in 1983/84 when he scored eleven goals in 21 league appearances. This made him, together with Wieland Wünsche, the top scorer in his team. At the beginning of the 1980s, the BSG Progress was always in the middle of the GDR league. The 1985/86 season surprisingly ended the team as a relay winner and rose to the GDR league. Bär, who meanwhile played in the libero position , had played all 34 point games. In his first league season 1986/87, Bär played continuously Libero and played 24 of the 26 played point games. The progress team was only able to hold its own for a year and then went back to the GDR league for two seasons. Although already 31 years old in 1987, Bär remained one of the pillars of the team during these years. In the two GDR league seasons he was only absent in two championship games. In 1989 progress rose to the league for the second time and again Bear was his team's Libero in 24 point games. Even in the second attempt, Bischofswerda failed to stay in the league. In 1990/91 Bär played his last season in the GDR league, in which he played seven more times as a 34-year-old.
coach
During the 1990/91 season, in which the BSG Progress was transformed into the Bischofswerdaer FV 08, Bär was initially assistant coach to Horst Rau , whom he replaced as head coach before the end of the season. Bär led the BFV into the then third-class NOFV-Oberliga , 1992 into the 3rd round of the DFB-Pokal and in 1994 for promotion to the newly created third-class regional league . It was not until Bischofswerda had to relegate from the regional league in 1996 that the club separated from Bär. Then he trained the subclass teams Budissa Bautzen , TSV Pulsnitz and progress Großharthau . Then Bär returned to Bischofswerda and worked for the BFV as a junior coach.
