Jörg Klingbeil

Jörg Klingbeil (born October 25, 1950 in Dortmund ) is a German ministerial official and former state commissioner for data protection for the state of Baden-Württemberg.

On March 18, 2009, Klingbeil was unanimously elected as the State Commissioner for Data Protection (LfD) of the State of Baden-Württemberg on the proposal of Prime Minister Günther Oettinger of the State Parliament of Baden-Württemberg . On April 1, 2009, he succeeded Peter Zimmermann , who left office on February 28, 2009 , and was his representative from October 2005 to April 2008. His term of office as Baden-Württemberg's state commissioner for data protection ended when Klingbeil retired at the end of April 2016. His successor was Stefan Brink .

Klingbeil studied law at the universities of Kiel and Freiburg . Before moving to the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Interior in July 1984, Klingbeil worked in the district office of the Schwarzwald-Baar district , in the Stuttgart administrative court and in the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics . In May 2008, Klingbeil became deputy head of the constitution, municipal and savings bank law, and legal department in the Ministry of the Interior of Baden-Württemberg , and at the same time head of the municipal economy and municipal finance department.

Klingbeil is married and has two children.
