Jörg Rohde (born April 6, 1966 in Korschenbroich ) is a German politician ( FDP ).

Life

After graduating from high school in Mönchengladbach in 1985 , Rohde began studying computer science at the University of Erlangen in 1986 , which he completed in 1991 as a qualified computer scientist . In 1992 he started working for Siemens AG . From 1994 to 2005 he was an honorary works council for the Working Group of Independent Employees (AUB).

Jörg Rohde is married.

Political party

Rohde has been a member of the FDP since 1993. He initially got involved with the Young Liberals , whose district chairman in Middle Franconia he was in 1994 and whose state chairman in Bavaria he was in 1995.

Jörg Rohde was chairman of the FDP regional association for Middle Franconia from 2002 to the end of 2013. From 1998 to 2007 Rohde was deputy FDP state chairman in Bavaria .

MP

Rohde was a member of the German Bundestag from 2005 to 2008 . There, he was spokesman for the FDP - Parliamentary Group for Social Welfare Policy and disability policy. He was drawn into the Bundestag via the Bavarian State List . His constituency was Erlangen .

In the state elections in 2008 , he ran unsuccessfully in the district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim, Fürth-Land , but was elected to the Bavarian state parliament via the district list Middle Franconia , of which he was vice-president from October 20, 2008. He was the spokesman for his group's policy on expellees and has been a member of the Pomeranian Landsmannschaft (ancestors from the Pyritz district in Pomerania ) since 2012 .

After the FDP could not overcome the five percent hurdle in the state elections in Bavaria in 2013 , he left the state parliament. He commented on his departure with the words: “I didn't go into politics to become something. But because I was something, I got into politics. "
