Jörn Großkopf (born August 29, 1966 in Hamburg ) is a former German soccer player and current soccer coach .
Life
Jörn Großkopf moved from HEBC Hamburg to FC St. Pauli in the Bundesliga in 1988 . After 30 games and 2 goals, he moved to SC Concordia Hamburg . For SC Concordia, he played almost 100 games in what was then the Regionalliga -Nord (3rd division). This was followed by positions at Eimsbütteler TV , Union 03 Altona , TSV Sasel and Niendorfer TSV . Großkopf ended his playing career in 2005 at Niendorfer TSV. He was considered a "low-maintenance player".
Following his playing career, Großkopf became a coach at Niendorfer TSV in 2005. In 2007 he moved to FC St. Pauli, where he took over the U-19s. After only one year, he led them to the A-Jugend-Bundesliga in 2008. In January 2009 he moved to the club's U-23 team as head coach, with whom he was promoted to the Regionalliga Nord / Nord-Ost, but was relegated again after a year in 2010. In 2011, he and the team made it back to the top with a large gap to the competition.
From June 2012 to March 2013, Großkopf acquired the football teacher license at the Hennes-Weisweiler Academy in the German Football Association - Hennef Sports School .
Großkopf's contract with FC St. Pauli was not extended beyond the 2012/13 season. From June 2013 he was the successor of Uwe Wolf as coach of the regional league team KSV Hessen Kassel . He was given a one-year contract. On November 12, 2013, the Großkopf association released from his duties. In December 2014 he took over the training control at SC Poppenbüttel . In March 2016 Großkopf became the coach of the upper division KFC Uerdingen 05 . In July 2016 he took over the coaching position of the regional league club SV Eichede . In November 2016, he was given leave of absence after just one win, three draws and twelve defeats (9:43 goals) in the first half of the season. After Großkopf trained the upper division Wedeler TSV in the 2017/18 season, he took over the upper division promoted HEBC Hamburg . He left HEBC in May 2019 and was hired as the new coach of FC Türkiye Wilhelmsburg in June 2019 .
Großkopf has trained in wholesale and foreign trade, is a social security specialist and insurance specialist (BWV).
