Jörn Schwinkendorf (born January 27, 1971 in Hamburg ) is a former German soccer player and today's coach .
career
The trained car mechanic Schwinkendorf, who grew up in Norderstedt, began playing club football at SV Friedrichsgabe. After a short interlude as an A-youth at Hamburger SV , he went to 1. SC Norderstedt , where he became an integral part of the men's team in the Oberliga Nord under coach Michael Lorkowski . After Lorkowski was coach at the second division FC St. Pauli for the 1992/93 season , he signed his former Norderstedter player. Schwinkendorf was also able to prevail there and held the class with his team. For financial reasons, however, it was sold to Wuppertaler SV after just one year for 300,000 marks . He stayed there for only one season as well as afterwards at 1. FC Saarbrücken .
For the 1995/96 season he then moved to Fortuna Düsseldorf in the Bundesliga . On the first day of the match he made his Bundesliga debut as a substitute in Bremen's Weserstadion against SV Werder. Although he had in the meantime fought for a regular place in the team, he only played 18 games due to an injury and moved on again after a year. He joined VfB Lübeck and was committed as a permanent fixture in the Lübeck defensive for the 1997/98 season from Bundesliga relegated SC Freiburg . With the SCF he was able to celebrate the promotion, although Schwinkendorf was last only a substitute player. After a cruciate ligament rupture, he only played five Bundesliga games in the following season and was committed to the second division club SV Waldhof Mannheim for the 1999/2000 season . In November he moved to Cardiff City in Wales for £ 100,000 . This less successful guest appearance - Cardiff was relegated from the third-rate Football League Second Division and Schwinkendorf had no regular seat - ended at the end of the season, after which he returned to Germany and joined VfL Osnabrück . This was his last stop in professional football.
Until 2005 he was then a trainer (sometimes also a player-trainer) of the upper and federation league club FC Teningen . In 2004, the Teninger qualified for the DFB Cup , where the outsider narrowly lost 2-1 to 1. FC Nürnberg with a goal in stoppage time. In the first half of 2006 Schwinkendorf was again exclusively active as a player at FSV Zwickau . At VfB Pößneck he was again active as a player- coach in 2006/07.
From August to November 2007 he coached the soccer association league (Saar relay) SV Röchling Völklingen . After leaving Völklingen, he interrupted his football activities for some time and became a tennis teacher in Hinterzarten in southern Baden .
With the beginning of the 2010/11 season he was coach of 1. FC Gera 03 in the Thuringian League and immediately achieved the club's promotion to the NOFV Oberliga , but was dismissed after a weak start to the season in August 2011. After a commitment with the second team of Eintracht Norderstedt, he coached Fetihspor Kaltenkirchen from August to December 2013, from where he moved to the fourth team of Hamburger SV .
