Jørgen Berthelsen (Landsfoged)

Jørgen Peter Berthelsen (born May 23, 1895 in Copenhagen ; † May 3, 1989 ) was a Danish administrative lawyer and landsfoged from North Greenland .

Jørgen Berthelsen graduated in law in 1919 and worked from then on as a secretary in the Justitsministeriet . From 1924 to 1925 he worked in the Indenrigsministeriet . From 1928 to 1929 he was interim Landsfoged of North Greenland as a representative of Philip Rosendahl . Then he worked again in the Ministry of Justice; this time as an authorized representative. He also worked as a secretary for the Greenland administration. He held other offices.

He was the son of inspector AP Berthelsen and his wife Anna Sophie Jørgensen. He was married to Carla Fricke.
