Júnior (born October 10, 1977 in Humberto de Campos , Maranhão ; full name José Carlos de Jesus Júnior ) is a Brazilian football player .
Club career
Júnior played in Brazil for Sampaio Corrêa FC before moving to Belgian club FC Boom . Then he switched to Eendracht Aalst . From there he went to Germany in 1997 for 1. FC Kaiserslautern , where he was initially intended for the amateur squad. Due to good performance, he was substituted for the first time in the Bundesliga on matchday 10 of the 1998/99 season. Here, too, he was initially able to convince, so that he played a few more games for FCK for the rest of the season, mostly as a substitute. In the same season he was also used three times in the Champions League . In his last season with the Red Devils , 1999/2000 , he was also in the professional squad, but was no longer professional.
After the season there was a change to the 2nd division for 1. FC Nürnberg . In the first year, Júnior rose with the Franks, but the Brazilian was only used sporadically. This did not change in the Bundesliga either, in 2002 a change to SV Waldhof Mannheim burst . The already sorted out Júnior fought for a regular place in the second half of the 2002/03 season, but after the season he went to Austria for FC Kärnten . Here he was sorted out after half a year and 12 games (no goal).
After six months without a club, he signed a contract with Wacker Burghausen in 2004 . After only two games in the 2nd Bundesliga, he suffered the same fate as several times before: He was banned from the professional squad and played for the club's 2nd team for another year.
