history

Jüdewein was first mentioned in documents in 1074. Pößneck, on the other hand, was first mentioned on February 4, 1196. Jüdewein was incorporated into Pößneck as early as 1882. The railway traffic between Jüdewein and Orlamünde over a distance of 11.66 km was inaugurated on October 1st, 1889, so the era began as a suburb or a suburb. On October 15, 1892, the section to Oppurg was opened . The Saale railway was connected with the Saalfeld - Gera railway . Jüdewein / Pößneck became a hub. New industrial and residential buildings as well as streets were created around the station. With the further development of society, traffic management became more and more important, so that the district has continued to adapt to the city through road construction and expansion as well as a new road layout. Even so, some of the rural work remained.
