The cemetery, located on Friedhofsstrasse in front of the morgue in the vicinity of the municipal cemetery, has been in use since 1824. The last burial so far was in 2006. There are about 190 gravestones on it . Possibly the oldest preserved stone dates from 1823.
history
In the 17th and 18th centuries the Jewish deceased were buried in the cemetery in Blieskastel . The cemetery in Homburg, which has been in its current form since 1918, was expanded in 1845 and at the end of the 1870s.
A burial never took place at the new cemetery in Homburg, which was inaugurated at the end of 1934.
