The New Jewish Cemetery in Saarbrücken , the state capital of Saarland , was laid out in 1918 and has been in use since 1920. The Jewish cemetery on Goldenen Bremm / Rue de la Princesse , directly on the French border, is a protected cultural monument .

history

The Jewish community of Saarbrücken buried its dead until 1920 in the old Jewish cemetery on Graf-Simon-Strasse and the corner of Komturstrasse. Since the community had grown significantly, it was necessary to purchase a new cemetery site.
