The Jewish cemetery Borgentreich is located in the town of Borgentreich in the district of Höxter in North Rhine-Westphalia . As a Jewish cemetery it is a monument , under monument stands.

The cemetery at the right end of the street Am Rathaus - access via Holtrupper Weg - was occupied from 1882 to 1939. 43 tombstones have been preserved there. The total number of tombstones includes 12 stones from the old cemetery in Borgentreich.

Old Jewish Cemetery

The old cemetery, which was probably occupied from the beginning of the 19th century until 1882, was formerly in Judenhagen in front of the clay gate. It was part of the ramparts outside the former city wall. There are no more tombstones there. In the years 1899 and 1901 the old cemetery was desecrated. Then 12 tombstones were brought to the new cemetery (see above).
