The Kommern Jewish Cemetery is located on Prinzenweg in Kommern , a district of Mechernich in the Euskirchen district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

In the Jewish cemetery , which was occupied from before 1840 to 1937, there are still 61 tombstones ( Mazewot ).

The burial place is delimited towards the front with a wall and a wrought iron gate, which is open. It lies on a mountain slope and is surrounded by residential developments.

For Eduard Levano , who was buried in 1937 , a tombstone was only placed in 2006. It was financed by donations from the association cartel and the Catholic Church in Kommern. An elementary school teacher and hobby stone mason chiseled the engravings. The idea of adding a tombstone to him later came from a teacher in what was then a 7th grade at the Satzvey secondary school. The whole class was committed to the implementation.
